When selecting a new automatic foiler, the Druk24h.pl team presented Akonda's representatives with quite a challenge:

• Simple auto feeder setting for 320×450 and 330x480mm format,
• Foiling of different weights from a single stack,
• Minimum amount of waste paper used to set up the machine,
• Edge-to-edge foiling without a margin,
• Much faster operation than on a run-down semi-automated machine

And, of course, the peculiarities of digital printing require flawless work in completing the calculated print run.

The challenges have been met. After successful tests in Germany, Akonda installed a GMP Qtopic 380 Auto foiler at Druk24h.pl / GG Studio. The device presented at Drupa is a new generation of foilers prepared specifically for digital printing. As a result, Qtopic was able to meet the high critical requirements for digital printing. Already during installation, the machine operated at a maximum speed of 10 m/min (that is, more than 1,300 sheets per hour).

GMP is a Korean company specializing in manufacturing finishing equipment. They produce from simple office laminators to industrial automatic foiling machines operating at speeds up to 70m/min at 1100 x 1200mm format. It is also a manufacturer of PP and PP film with super strong adhesive layer for digital printing.

After attaching the rewinder module, the machine has the possibility of gilding, hologram finishing or imitation selective varnishing. A stack of up to 50cm can be placed on the feeder, the machine has a sheet straightening module and automatically separates the sheets by releasing them on the receiving table.

The machine also comes in a version with manual feeding, the operator does not have to concentrate on overlapping sheets - the machine controls the overlap by itself.
