Changing market needs in book production (Print on Demand technology's increasing market share) mean that customers (publishers or distributors) increasingly expect books to be printed in unit editions. Fewer and fewer print runs are being carried out at several thousand copies per day, while more and more are being heard about a few hundred or a few thousand works per day at a single piece.
The book distribution model is changing to accepting orders through the online store and going directly into production.
The situation is similar, for example, with operating instructions, where the factory orders instructions one or more days in advance for planned production.

Therefore, all the organs of the equipment are carried out automatically - in the case of soft binding, each insert is tested for thickness, among other things, a number of parameters are selected based on the thickness, such as creasing spacing of the spine. Creasing is carried out using a bar, the distances are dynamically matched to the insert, there is no need to manually set up creasing disks. The machine creases in both directions, can punch up to 13 times, so it is possible to realize, among other things, binding with wings.
The solutions used mean that the machine can work at full capacity with each subsequent binding of a different thickness (without losing time to change settings).

- BB3002 - a basic single-jaw edge banding machine that provides a base for expansion. Even the basic model provides uninterrupted operation with full capacity for inserts of different thicknesses
- BB3102 - a banding machine with a unique cartridge feeder. The operator places the cartridges on the conveyor (the magazine holds up to 79 cartridges), which should take no more than 6 minutes, for another 10 minutes (with 5mm blocks) the machine can work without operator intervention. The machine verifies the correctness of the "cartridge - cover" set using barcodes and eliminates the possibility of confusion. Automation of the cartridge feeding process allows the machine to reach a capacity of up to 400 bindings per hour with an operator who is not involved in the production cycle in the 100% - these capacities are higher than those of popular 4-jaw wrapping machines on the Polish market.
- BB3202 - a wrapping machine combined with an innovative BPM module that allows cutting and turning the sheet directly from the printing machine or from the paper feeder. The solution allows printing 1, 2 or 4 uses from a sheet in a line, without operator intervention in between.
When printing from an SRA3 sheet a 50-page book in a format close to A5 (the work can be realized in virtually any format), the system paired with a printing machine at a speed of about 250 A4 pages/min allows the production of 220 books in one hour.
All of the above-mentioned solutions are available in options with EVA or PUR glue (with a closed Nordson brand adhesive).
